First came across Me Hughes in my job as a High end Kitchen fitter. He was working on the same address as myself. I was very impressed with his work to the point where I asked him to replace my whole slate roof. Which he did in terrible weather conditions. Needless to say he made a fantastic job of my roof. I have since recommended him to several of my neighbours who have all been pleased with his work.

Alan Hughes did some clay tile roofing work for me on a Listed Farmhouse and his work was of very good quality and value. He was punctual, tidy, and friendly and i would not hesitate to recommend him.

Alan re-tiled our roof and put a dormer in on our top floor loft conversion. The work was carried out to a very high standard and we've no complaints at all. Very helpful and good to deal with throughout the process. Would certainly recommend Alan and his squad.

Alan was a godsend to us. After a string of unreliable tradesmen, he was such a find. He is very very reasonable, a great heart , does a quality job every time, is reliable and always goes the extra mile to help with things he hasn't even come to do. He is a super super nice guy, his work is top notch every time and I hesitate to recommend him as we don't want him to become too popular!!!! He is the most honest tradesman I have ever met and a great roofer. Wouldn't ever use anyone else for our roof. He has fixed some sub standard work from our previous builders on our velux roof windows and put in a very large velux in a spare room. Price was just as quoted and very tidy. Even helped order a front door for no commision cos he is just that nice!!! If anyone needs a roofer Alan is your man!

We were so lucky to have found Alan Hugh’s to do our roof! Our roof was very complicated, with gable ends, valleys, and three dormers, plus tile hung. We raised the roof on our bungalow to join with an existing two storey extension the roof had to join up seamlessly, and then look ‘same same but different’ as the properties were being split. Alan did an amazing job of aligning the two houses and working with the complexity of the roof. He went above and beyond to ensure the end result was amazing. Alan is a lovely guy,, that does a brilliant job, he takes great pride in his work, which means you get outstanding results .

I had water leaking through the ceiling of my kitchen extension, caused by heavy rain, which led to water damage to both the walls and ceiling. After having multiple professionals assess the issue, none of them could pinpoint the cause. However, Alan quickly identified the problem. He was incredibly knowledgeable, straightforward, and honest, exactly what I needed after dealing with the stress of the situation. His quote was also very reasonable. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the work he carried out this week. Throughout the process, his service was professional, friendly, and courteous. He even went above and beyond by fixing my guttering! I would not hesitate to hire Alan again and highly recommend his services to family and friends.

Arrived on time, quickly assessed and adjusted work required in full consultation with me after discussing their on-site photos of chimney - all completed promptly and to a high standard. To finish it off, reduced the initial estimate due to less work being needed than originally thought. We now have a water-tight chimney and cash in our pockets ! +++

Alan came on the day we called him to look at a leak in the loft after Storm Goretti. He was incredibly helpful. He was able to access a couple of slates that had been dislodged and split through a Velux and replace with spares we already had. All sorted within an hour and he called the next day to check all was well as it was still pouring. Outstanding service.
