Acorn Roofing

I’ve used Acorn Roofing a number of times over the years and I’ve always found them very reliable. They were quick to come out and resolve a leak that was coming through the roof into the bedroom. This is a company I trust completely, and they have always been able to identify the problem and resolve it quickly. The cost was reasonable with no surprises. Highly recommend.

Found Acorn following suffering major roof damage from the recent storms which left us with flooding inside. Rob was pleasant on the phone, came over immediately to inspect the issues and laid down a temporary fix. He gave us quotations of the works needed which was extensive and communicated throughout. Dropped off materials on Tuesday and works was completed and cleared by Friday. Lovely group of lads who brought laughter to my home. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Despite a lot of enquiries after a storm, Acorn arrived quickly to provide a quote for a relatively small job. Once a date was agreed Acorn arrived and did a good job. The invoice arrived just over a week later, after a number for rain showers so I could check on the effectiveness of the work. No problems!

Acorn roofing stepped in after we had leaks in our flat garage roof. Because of this, they did the work at the weekend, completely re-felting the roof. They also carried out work on the main roof, re-laying the ridge tiles and renewing the verges. Horace, Andy and Dean are very professional and do an excellent job. They turned up on time, explained what was to be done, and completed the work to our satisfaction. When there was a setback, they responded rapidly, and carried out the necessary work to sort it out. They are a friendly, hard working, skilled team. I can certainly recommend them.

Acorn roofing provide good old fashioned service. The work repairing and replacing edging tiles and 2 gutters was carried out with care and efficiency. Communication was good, reliable on times and cost, and very helpful, even hosing down the front gravel where cats had been busy! Highly recommend this company.

From the first contact we found Acorn Roofing to be reliable, punctilious and polite. The whole team were very respectful of our little cottage and amazingly helpful to us.

Arrived when they said and did exactly what they said in the quote. Without any fuss or bother they bagged up all the rubbish as soon as they removed it from the roof. Keeping the area clear and tidy.

Horace and his team did an excellent job in fitting deep flow guttering, putting in a new soakaway and replacing a flat roof. All for a very fair price. One good thing at Acorn is Horace would always keep us informed, including instances when the work couldn't proceed - for example bad weather. Also, when Horace came to quote he said some of the guttering we had in place was still good and so didn't try to tell us we needed to spend more money. His team were very efficient and tidied up after each day. They were also friendly and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend Horace and his team.

Excellent work by Horace and his team who re-felted my flat roof extension. After starting my work they uncovered some serious problems with my adjoining neighbours flat roof but thankfully they were able to delay another job so they could replace both of them together. They left us watertight overnight and returned the next day to complete the job. They were professional, friendly, took all rubbish away and swept up afterwards. Highly recommend.

Horace was quick to provide me with an honest appraisal of the state of my roof and a plan to remedy the issues with the long-term in mind. We set a date to start the work but a cancellation meant that the team were able to come much earlier which was very good of them. The guys working on the job were polite, knowledgeable and quiet - no noisy radios or shouting at each other which makes a difference when you work from home. Each stage was explained and when the job was completed it was a clear improvement on how things were beforehand. I'm very happy with the service Acorn provided.

Needed roof repairs as water was entering though a bedroom ceiling. We got four estimates for the work, and had no hesitation in choosing Acorn Roofing. Horace inspired confidence from the start, understanding the problem, explaining our options clearly, and providing a detailed estimate of costs. I was let down by a Checkatrade company who did a complete Sub Standard work to my roof, in that it was still leaking after completion and the company would not support their guarantee, But this was all sorted out by the Checkatrade Guarantee system. But I then and took on another Checkatrade member Acorn Roofing Services who carried out a profesional job by the comlete removal of the existing roofing back to the basics and then replaced with new new boarding and felt . All tradesmen were professional in the work carried out, Therefore I have no hesitation in recomending this company
