"Julian has completed fitting a new wicks kitchen for us. He removed the existing kitchen and disposed of these quickly. He worked well with our electrician, completed all plumbing himself and engaged his own plasterer to replaster our ceiling and skim walls. Julian worked over and above his normal working hours to keep to his schedule. He levelled our flooring before fitting laminate floor. His communication was first class he was always friendly reliable and efficient and punctual. He fitted 3 new oak doors and we would wholeheartedly recommend Julian."
"Julian and his son did a great job fitting our new kitchen a few months back. They also extended the plumbing to the garage for our washing machine amongst other additional jobs which made the process very efficient. They were always on time, very trustworthy and easy to get along with. Julian also came up with solutions to our odd shaped room that well known kitchen company designers had failed to achieve. We're loving our kitchen a few months on and they were so great, we are getting them back to do a wardrobe for us soon. Thanks for doing such a fab job guys"

All trades were so well coordinated and finished to a high standard. Everything was done on time and on budget. I would definitely use Kubic Kitchens again."

Before you hire an architect
Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
