Beswick Building and Renovations Limited (“Beswick”) carried out building repair and renovation work at our property in England. As we live overseas we were not able to supervise this ourselves and we were reliant on Beswick’s management skills and their ability to communicate with us and update us on options and progress. Beswick's work included roof repairs, renovating a study damaged by burst pipes, renovating four bathrooms, getting the central heating system up and running, plastering, repointing, redecorating, and organising other trades. The work was exemplary. It was costed in advance and delivered on budget and in a timely manner. We dealt mainly with Matt Beswick, who, as well as being personable and very easy to deal with, was extraordinarily helpful, available and communicative despite the time difference. We felt that Matt was working with us to achieve our goals for the project and truly cared that they were achieved. We would have no hesitation in recommending Beswick.

As interior designers we have worked with a fair few builders and construction teams. On this particular job we worked along side Matt and his fabulous team to complete a 6 month project to renovate the whole first floor of a Georgian residence. His great personality and honest approach to the job in hand was refreshing. The costs breakdowns were spot on and he would always give his opinion on how we could improve or over come issues that appear in these old houses. The communication that we received whilst on the job was timely and clear. He managed to achieve and turn around the designs we had worked so hard on and bought them to life in he most effective way. The rest of the team were courteous and respectful given a family of four were still residing at the property. The standard of work and finishing was top notch and we have already recommended Matt and his team to further jobs.

Matt and his fabulous team completed a hobby room for us. Matt kept us informed at all stages of the project. The project involved reconfiguring the room layout, rewiring, making good the floor and walls, insulation etc. These were completed an exceptional standard. We highly recommend Matt and his team.

We had a cramped, dark kitchen which we had talked about extending for several years. Matt came round and discussed what could be done and made useful suggestions. He provided detailed costings which were adhered to. Beswick is a tight-knit friendly team of builders and plumbers who are tidy and clean. Steve, the site manager, was always on hand to answer any questions. They gave a good quality finish. Matt always kept us informed about the various stages of the build and saved us some money by changing the arrangement of the lintel. The work was completed on time and we are very pleased with the results. We now have a spacious and light kitchen and new patio of which we can be proud.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Beswick Builders on a two-storey side extension for our family home, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. From the very beginning, Matt, Steve and the team were professional and approachable; we felt they understood us and our project and listened to our ideas and concerns. We are absolutely delighted with the final result. The extension blends seamlessly with the original structure and has totally transformed our home, both in function and appearance. Beswicks completed a near full renovation of my house, including moving the kitchen from the front to the back of the house. Including in the work was plumbing, electrical, plastering (including getting rid of awful artex ceilings throughout the house) and kitchen fitting. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I have had no issues or faults with their work across the 6 weeks of the project. I was kept updated at every stage and they even shared ideas on some money saving steps in the project. The builders were polite, tidy and respectful of my property and my neighbours - I have had compliments from my neighbours as to how good they were. All the work has been completed to the highest standard and I am delighted and fully satisfied with all the work done. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Beswick Building and Renovations have just completed their third major project for us in the last four years. These have included a garage conversion, a ground floor extension (including an re-roofing of our kitchen) and most recently a complex rebuild of our wooden balcony. We have found Matt, Steve and team to be very responsive, open and honest about costs and complications, and willing to take on any assignment. We’ve had very minor issues with the three projects they have completed for us, but when we have needed their support they have always come promptly (including late at night and in all weathers). Given the amount of time we’ve had the team on site, we’ve found them to be a very considerate team. It has been a pleasure working with them and we would strongly recommend them.

We used Matt, Steve and the Team to renovate our kitchen, build an internal utility room and redo our bathroom and bedroom in 2024. They were exemplary in everything they did. What particularly impressed us was that they had people on site every day of the project so that not a day was wasted. The standard of the workmanship shown by all their skilled workforce was excellent and we would not hesitate in highly recommending them.

Beswick and team did a high quality job on refits of a bathroom and cloakroom. We’re very happy with the results. Plenty of communication as we went through the project and every member of the team was courteous and friendly.

I can not fault Matt, Steve and the team for the work done on our house. A full transformation of the downstairs, brand new lounge, hallway, kitchen, floors, walls and bi-fold doors. A very clear itemized budget in advance down to the last detail. A weekly update vs the budget on costs and timings so we knew exactly where we were. Fantastic team to work with, polite, punctual, respectful and funny so great to have around our home. I wouldn’t go with anyone else - the quality was extremely high and several years later, everything still looks fabulous.

Beswick built a new kitchen extension and utility room, which required the old kitchen to be demolished and a new building. The planned work was completed within the projected schedule [20weeks], I requested some additional work so the total project was around 22-24weeks. The projected budget was detailed and was not exceeded, all variable spend, for example, type of radiators, windows and flooring only went ahead after a detailed conversation and clear costing. The project manager kept in contact and was very helpful with suggestions for fixtures and fittings and always gave clear instructions on who was coming on site and what they were doing. Communication was excellent. The builder was very tidy and considerate in making sure waste material was not in my way; they were also very considerate of my neighbours and ensured their needs were taken into account. From start to finish, Matt, Steve, and the entire team were absolutely brilliant- not only incredibly skilled but genuinely lovely people to have around. From the very beginning, Matt and Steve worked closely with us to plan timelines around our house purchase. We were taking on a full renovation -new plumbing, a complete rewire, a redesigned downstairs layout with steel beams, full plastering throughout, plus a new kitchen and bathrooms and adding on a porch extension. Despite the scale of the project, Matt and Steve managed to align our job with his existing workload and got started just two weeks after we received the keys, which was amazing. As a family with three children, we moved into rented accommodation for four months and had a firm goal of being back in by October half term. Team Beswick made this happen. They kept everything on track and really pushed towards the deadline to make it achievable for us, which made a huge difference to our family. The core Beswick team handled most of the work themselves and were consistently professional, respectful and friendly on site. Even our new neighbours commented on how polite and considerate they were, which made settling in so much easier for us. Matt Beswick and his team did a complete kitchen renovation for us. They fitted a new kitchen from ceiling to floor which basically involved everything from cupboards, sink, worktops, appliances etc. Yes the work was to budget and also was completed to schedule. We also asked for additional things, which Matt was quite happy to do for us. Matt coordinated his team very well and always ommunicated what work would be done each day, so we knew what was exactly happening. Everyone was very friendly, approachable and flexible. Their work was always very neat and tidy. Matt and his team were also very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to giving as advice on things we were not sure about. We had a beauitful bunch of flowers sent to us from his company when all the work had be completed, which we thought was a lovely finishing touch. Aftercare has also been amazing as we have had an issue with one shelving, which is scheduled to be fixed.

We are absolutely over the moon with our recent garage conversion, which has now been transformed into a beautiful new utility room. The team at Beswick were amazing from start to finish – reliable, always on time, and incredibly professional throughout the entire project. We dealt mostly with Mike and he was amazing - always open to questions (which I had a lot of), always helpful and went above and beyond to get what we wanted done.
