"Chris from C Nixon plumbing & Heating advised, quoted and fitted a new boiler for me last week. The work was done within a few days as mine was no longer working which was a great help. Really pleased with the work done, it was done efficiently, professionally and everything left clean and tidy. I know he spent a longer time ensuring the system was well flushed so I don't have any issues in the future. I have used Chris for gas safety certs and repairs for rental properties also and have always been very happy with the work done. Will definitely keep using this company."

I hired him to install a system boiler in my 5-bed HMO and paid a £2,500 deposit. After removing the old boiler, he failed to resolve a key issue with the stop valve, then changed the plan entirely to a combi boiler — which wasn’t suitable. He then walked off the job, leaving the property with no heating and 2 tenants inside, and kept £735.92 from my deposit (£600 labour + £135.92 materials). For incomplete work, this charge is excessive. Unprofessional and unreliable. I’m now considering legal action. Avoid unless you’re prepared to manage risk — and never pay a deposit upfront. 👎

I contacted them regarding a gas cooker installation. Chris arrived promptly and was professional from the start. Before fitting the cooker he took the time to check everything properly and made sure all the correct safety procedures and tests were completed before leaving. The installation was done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. It’s reassuring to find someone who clearly knows what they’re doing. I wouldn’t normally leave a review unless I genuinely meant it, but Chris did a great job and I’d happily recommend him to anyone needing plumbing or gas work.
