I have used Centrona for at least 15 years - a regular contract for servicing my home, and for gas safety checks and servicing of another house. They have always been reliable. Ben came this week for the annual service - he arrived on time, was very efficient , and of course polite, and sorted out the problems. In the past, when tenants lost heating over the New Year, Centrona came round really quickly to sort it out.

The installation was a difficult job in a second floor flat where scaffolding was required for the flue. This required agreement with the managing agents, and the company were extremely cooperative in ensuring that the agreement was obtained promptly, providing full information that enabled this to be done. The installation and removal of the scaffolding was completed efficiently and in a timely manner with no disturbance to other residents. Ben, who fitted the boiler was prompt and pilot. The installation was not straightforward, and Ben constantly consulted over difficulties and on how the issues could be resolved. He was able to complete the installation on schedule and his work was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend using Ben and this company.

Centrona gas installed our boiler 10 years ago and it is still going strong. Excellent care including annual service and engineers are always brilliant. Definitely recommend!

Ben, Ben has been our gas engineer since the installation of our boiler and continues to carry out the annual servicing. He is always punctual, highly professional, and friendly. After making our yearly service the plumber came around when he was getting near to the end we advised him that we had a radiator upstairs that did not come on, he checked it and said you need a new TRV valve, which he said he will have to order and to ring the office in a few weeks which we did to be told someone would ring us back asap, it never happened and after 5 phone calls being told they don’t make that part anymore .and that o yes you need a new boiler ( after the plumber who actually came said it was just a part needed for the radiator) how did she come to that conclusion sitting on the end of a phone. Anyway we have given up waiting for the phone calls, and I would not recommend.

Can’t fault the service. I’d never heard of Centrona before a neighbour recommended them. Our boiler cut out in the last night, I booked online & they managed to squeeze us in the same day. The job was done cleanly & the boiler was up and running within 20 mins. They even checked over the rest of the system for peace of mind. I highly recommend them if you are in the Penge/Beckenham area.

We were having weird banging noises from our system every night, which another company told us was “just old pipes.” John figured it out within ten minutes and sorted it that same afternoon. House has been silent since. Smooth easy online booking and this is the best boiler plan company I have ever used. Five stars all the way.

Honestly one of the smoothest trades experiences I’ve had. The guy turned up on time, had the part we needed already in the van, and got our hot water working again in under an hour. Friendly and professional the whole way through. Great home emergency experience. Will use again

I booked online at 10pm and had someone at my door by 9 the next morning. The engineer was professional, didn’t try to upsell anything, and got straight to work. Very refreshing compared to what we’ve dealt with before.

The radiators weren't workin right. Gave Centrona Gas a call after my freind Tony said they sorted his bathroom. Engineer was there within the hour, like 9am sharp. He replaced sum valves. Fair play tho, heatin's been proper toasty since 😊

OMG cant fault centrona gas!!! They installed our new boiler last week n its amazin. The 2 guys worked non stop for 2 days, hardly even stopped for tea! One of them (John) was teachin the young lad it was nice seein him pass down skills. They chucked in a free smart thermostat which wasnt in quote so well chuffed with that. Proper sound firm.

Their engineer Steve arrived the same day we called and quickly diagnosed a pump failure. He clearly explained the problem, showed me the faulty part, and provided a quote on the spot. I appreciated his honesty when he advised that a full replacement rather than a quick fix would be more economical in the long run. He returned the next morning with the correct parts and had our heating back up and running within a couple of hours. Steve was friendly, professional and left no mess behind. The follow-up call from their office the next day to check everything was working properly was a nice touch. Excellent service from start to finish!
