Highlights

"We needed my roof and some stone cleaned so I contacted Clean Slate Roofing. I was given a quote and they told me about the work they could do. There was good communication in the run up to them arriving. When Freddie got here, he was on time both days, very upbeat, polite and friendly! He kept me updated on the work he was doing and what he’d achieved by the end of the day. We’re very happy with the results, the house looks great. Thank you for your hard work.. it didn’t look easy!"

"Freddie provided an excellent service when recently cleaning our roof. It wasn’t an easy job but, as the photos show, the roof tiles were left back nearer to their original colour after the work had been undertaken. Freddie worked diligently throughout the time he was on site - communicating effectively throughout and leaving everything clean before leaving."

"Excellent job - Freddie did everything he said he would, including using the biodegradable products I wanted to include. The patio looks amazing, like it did when it was first put down. Everything tidy and put back. Really good experience, would definitely recommend!"

Before you hire a landscaper

Get an itemised quote that separates plants and materials, any machinery or skip hire, and labour — a vague 'garden makeover' lump sum hides where the money goes and makes extra charges easy to add later.
Be wary of paying a large sum up front 'for materials' — agree staged payments against work you can see completed, especially for hard landscaping like patios, decking, paving or driveways.
Tree work and anything near a boundary can be regulated — protected trees and conservation areas often need permission, and removing a protected tree can be an offence. Confirm what is allowed, and that they carry public-liability insurance, before work starts.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
