Highlights

"Corinium Roofing & Property Maintenance have completed the repairs to the chimneys of my 1920's house in Cirencester, which have been leaking for years. Each chimney requiring a full scaffold and weather protection. The scaffolding team efficiently erected and dismantled the scaffold and Nathan and Ben undertook the repair work. This involved re-haunching and re-setting the pots, repointing the 3.5m high stacks and re-setting the leadwork. They undertook the work thoroughly, with great attention to detail and customer care. I will use them again if I have any roofing issues, Chris Boydell."

"Excellent...responsive when approached for a quote, came up with a clever solution for a difficult piece of guttering , and Tom personally checked all work done by Nathan ( who has 20yrs experience). Recommended...we're in the outlying Stroud area and they had no problem coming out to us for roofing and guttering."

"Tom fitted us in promptly as we had water ingress from a poorly fitted flat roof and was clear on price. The EPDM roof has been successful . There were a couple of minor tidying up issues which Tom return promptly to deal with . I would recommend"

"Architect" is a title protected by law - only people on the official Architects Register (held by ARB) may use it. Confirm they're on it before you commission a design.

Check the Architects Register
Smart checks

Before you hire an architect

Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
