Highlights

"Jon from D E Scott Electrical made initial contact with us quickly after we posted the job and visited us at our earliest convenience. Jon methodically diagnosed the situation until he was confident that the cause of the issue had been correctly identified and rectified. Jon was very personable and made sure that we were fully informed during and after the work. We were very impressed with the professionalism the Job showed and we will certainly be back to the company for any other electrical work that we require. I would fully recommend D E Scott Electrical."

"D E Scott Electrical upgraded our consumer unit and added new sockets in the kitchen. Really tidy work, and they made sure everything was tested and safe before leaving."

"I highly recommend this company for any electrical work. From start to finish, the service was excellent. They responded to my initial enquiry promptly and arranged a site visit to assess the work required. The quote they provided was very fair and reasonable. Engineer arrived quickly as scheduled and were professional, polite, and respectful throughout. They replaced and installed several downlighters at my property, and I was particularly impressed by how clean and tidy they kept everything during and after the work. I would definitely use their services again for any future electrical needs"

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
