David is a fantastic builder who knows his trade. Superb bricklayer and very good at communicating with customers to which we were kept updated from start to finish. Will always highly recommend David if your after a quality standard .
He's approachable, and always discusses what needs to be done.
They have built two extensions for us, one in 2007 and one this year, both times they did a fantastic job. They are really reliable and helpful, David is a really nice guy, and their work is top quality.

Dave did a first class job. Nothing was too much trouble for them even when we changed our mind about things. Really pleased.
Dave Hopwood has been not professional and friendly throughout the refurbishment of my property. The work carried out is to an extremely high standard and due to my not living close by he has kept me informed by telephone with photos of a particular aspect of the building process. I would most definitely recommend him to anyone requiring renovation, new build or conversion (barns etc.)
Outstanding work ethic. The builders worked long hours to get the job done. They never cut corners and used quality materials throughout.
From the initial quote to the final sweep-up, it was a brilliant experience. Professional, tidy and very skilled at what they do.
David and the team did a great job on our refurbishment. Professional, knowledgable and an expert in his trade. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we discovered other work that needed to be done throughout the project. Work was done to an excellent standard and I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a genuine, honest builder of a high standard.
David & team did a great job repairing a wall at my house, also taking on another spontaneous job at the same time. Good communication, very reliable and information.
The work required remodelling the upstairs bay and installing a new bay window. The flat roof was completely stripped and replaced with the addition of a lantern, the wall to left hand side had to be raised by 6 courses of bricks to make the same height as the right hand side. The photo was taken in the morning just before the facia and guttering was completed. I can thoroughly recommend David Hopwood Building Services, the work was completed on time and the quality of work was exemplary with plenty of thought going in to every activity.
