We called and asked Dec to quote to hang 6 new solid wood doors including all new ironmongery. And to fit all new skirtings downstairs. The cost we felt was reflective of having a bonified skilled carpenter and we were amazed at how quickly the works were done but more importantly at how well the works were all done. Dec also had to make the small understairs door from a full size door and it’s amazing . Dec also returned in January 2025 to build a ‘ built in wardrobe , again, done without fuss and to an exceptional standard. We still require many works doing , new staircase, kitchen units being adjusted to accommodate a bigger induction hob and extractor , the doors upstairs also… A good human being, friendly, polite and good at what he does .

The level of service and quality of work was excellent, we were given an estimated duration for the work and he explained how he proposed to repair our stairs taking into account our wishes. Dec saved a job that that was unfinished and poorly executed by another carpenter. And he was able to come out really quickly! We are so grateful!! Especially as the last carpenter we hired took a month to work on a 3-4 day project and was consistently late. Dec was an absolute breath of fresh air and has eased our stress. He fitted the missing door lining and architrave for a new walk-in wardrobe we had built. He also added skirting board inside the wardrobe that had not been fitted. He was clearly knowledgable and explained how he intended to go about correcting the disaster we'd been left with. He was punctual and incredibly efficient and finished the job by lunchtime. He even specially came back a few days later as we struggled to remove the bi-fold wardrobe door, he showed us how so we could prepare for painting. We've already requested a quote from him for another job. Really happy to now have a legitimate and reasonably priced carpenter we can call! :)
