Highlights

"Chris has been looking after us since 2015 and we have recommended him to anyone who is looking for an honest, responsible, level-headed engineer. We timed our boiler replacement based on his advice but ignored his advice on fitting a Honeywell Home system at the same time, which was a bad decision. He retrofitted it later, which has saved us £1,000+ in energy bills. Always friendly and solid advice at a market, but reasonable, price."

"Chris is very helpful. He tried to diagnose my boiler issue over the phone, so I wouldn’t need a call out. We couldn’t fix it, and he came out the very next day. He talked me through all the possible issues and within 30 minutes had found the root cause. Within 2 hours after picking up the part, he had my boiler up and running. This is the third job he’s done for me, with fixing a leak and replacing a toilet and cistern. In every case, they jobs were done to an excellent standard, in a timely manner, polite and explains the jobs. I wouldn’t highly recommended Chris for any plumbing work."

"Chris is absolutely brilliant. He was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and fix what hadn’t been done in my previous service. He then also managed to diagnose another problem and fix it with the part needed 3 days later - great communication, great work and will definitely recommend and be using Chris again!"

Smart checks

Before you hire a gas engineer

By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register — ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
