We faced over 15 weeks of delays, poor communication, and zero completed work after paying a deposit in March for a Velux window replacement. The job was repeatedly pushed back due to various excuses, including the wrong flashing kit being ordered twice—resulting in an 8-week delay—and staff illness, which was later proven false. We ultimately cancelled the project. They now want to retrieve the Velux from us to obtain a refund from their supplier and still keep £500 of our deposit, despite doing no actual work on our property. Essence Roofing are unreliable.

I had essence out to fix a long-standing leak on my garage roof. They were highly professional from start to finish: showed up when they said they would, left no mess, communicated at every stage of the job, and also reasonably priced for the work being done. Also the staff in the office were always friendly and helpful and, again, very communicative.

We used Essence roofing when we needed repairs to the roof and chimney and they were an excellent choice. They came promptly and most importantly when they said they would, correctly diagnosed the issues and explained and showed us exactly what needed doing. When it transpired that we also needed sandstone repairs they found an excellent stone mason to do the job and project managed what turned into quite a big job. The work men were all courteous and cheerful, neat and tidy and got on with the job. The office staff were always helpful and pleasant and I would definitely use Essence again.
