"Seriously impressive. On Monday morning as promised at 09.00 Shaun and his team of 3 arrived to start work. The job was the replace all the gutters, soffits, fascias and downpipes and to install Cure It waterproof system on the flat bay roof of our semi detached house. The team worked tirelessly all day with only two 5 minute tea breaks and finished the complete job by 17.30 including tidying up and taking away all the debris. The workers were friendly and obviously has a high work ethic. We could not praise them more highly - it put our faith back into British workmanship."
"I was looking to replace my soffits and fascias which had been on my house for over 20 years. I was in the minefield of looking for quotes, as many of you are, and trying to find a good company. I got a leaflet through my door and checked out the reviews of First Choice Services and decided to go ahead. I was given a competitive quote on Thursday and the lads started on Monday. It is now Tuesday afternoon and my house, porch and garage are completed. The results are really very good. The workmen are good as is Shaun who gave me the quote. I'm very happy and can recommend them."

Before you hire an architect
Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
