Replacement Roof - stripped and re- felt and battened . I would recommend James Roofing & Building. From beginning , price was discussed and we accepted. The work carried out was of a high standard. Took 7 days in total. They were punctual and communicated well. They tidied up as they went along and informed me of necessary planning application to enable professional signing off by the council. I would employ them again.

Dave was thoughtful about the problems that the roofing threw up and inventive in overcoming problems. The finished product is most satisfactory.

I have used James roofing a few times he first done out re roof then our conservatory roof. Now he’s come and rendered the front of our house painted all the wood work soffits and fascia. Dave is always polite and courteous always helpful I will use him for any work and recommend him to anyone. Really happy with all the work carried out.

Dave (James Roofing and Building) and work colleague Phil removed old roof tiles, battens and felt , replaced with new. Removed and installed new facia and guttering front and back, updated our loft insulation and repointed our gable end. We found them to be approachable , kept us informed on all work carried out. Had total trust in them when advised of extra work that was needed . Wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future and would certainly recommend them .

Dave and his team boarded and felted four garages for us and created a larger door opening for one of them. The work was carried out to a very high standard and we now have usable garages which no longer leak. In addition, they modified and re-felted a flat roof extension to our house which had been causing problems for some time. They were recommended to us by friends and we would certainly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing and building work.

David James and his assistant Phil were honest, punctual, respectful of us and our property and worked hard in freezing temperatures to give us a new flat roof. The communication was good and the work was completed on time and at the agreed price. They have renewed our faith in tradesmen as we had been badly let down by another company. David James is an experienced, skilled Professional and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone and use him again ourselves.

David James had already replaced our flat roof and we invited him back to replace 2 bedroom ceilings which had been damaged by previous water ingress. He and his team Phil, Dean and plasterer Darren, did a great job replacing the ceilings, adding insulation, then plastering and painting them so they look good as new. They clearly take pride in their work and tidy up after themselves. Would recommend.

Dave and co did a very good job on our two flat roofs, which have lots of tricky features (house is Victorian with extensions). Attention to detail was excellent and we have confidence in the quality of workmanship throughout. He dealt quickly with unforeseen problems, and was upfront about extra costs when they were necessary. Friendly and reliable, we would certainly use Dave again and recommend him to anyone!

Reliable and transparent from start to finish, delivering an amazing finish at a very competitive price ensuring I was aware of any changes in cost as we moved through the project. Very quick to respond to our initial enquiry. Stayed in touch during a lengthy planning permission process. Turned up when arranged and stayed with us until the job was finished. Very pleased with the result. Good communication and friendly when on site. There was an issue early on during the work because a thatched roof was being replaced with a tiled roof. The amount of work required to remove and dispose of the thatch hadn’t been anticipated. However, a discussion led to a fair outcome regarding the extra work that was needed.

The work was carried out promptly and I was kept informed throughout the process. Despite the low temperatures slowing down the cement work, the job was completed well and the outside space was left clean and tidy. A very professional job which shows the years of experience in the business. The team of workers were all very pleasant to deal with.

The team were recommended by a neighbour of ours who had the same age roof as us. It became pretty obvious that our roof needed doing too (along with our carport that was leaking). A necessary job of course, but a financial shock to the system too! A detailed quote was laid out which was very helpful. In hindsight however, a payment schedule should have been agreed from the start for such a large sum of money, not just assumed we would know how it worked. Saying that, it was good value, there weren't hidden costs and it was a plus that 75% of the roof tiles were able to be reused. The pair were very friendly, helpful and answered all questions. The scaffolding company they used were great too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this roofing company, they did a great job.
