Highlights

"Excellent work"

Andrew LCheckatrade5.0 rating

"We had a really bad leak around our living room window since having work done with a "reputable" company so I put on a request on check a trade and Jason contacted me. He came out to inspect the issue I had really quickly. Put no pressure on for me to go ahead with the work and quote. After agreeing, he came out as agreed with no issues. He got to work right away and has done an amazing job! We've have heavy downpours since and we have no leaks. He was absolutely lovely to deal with and we are more than happy with the work carried out! Thank you so much"

"I contacted Jason when water was dripping from the ceiling in my office. From the moment he arrived, he put me at total ease and gave me confidence in his ability to fix the problem (a crack in the lead valley), fully explaining my options and giving a very competitive quote. I was lucky that Jason could fit me in the same day, completing the work just a few hours later and all to a very high standard. What really impressed me was he did more than he originally quoted for, completely covering the whole area and going above and beyond to fix the problem. I can’t recommend him highly enough."

"Architect" is a title protected by law - only people on the official Architects Register (held by ARB) may use it. Confirm they're on it before you commission a design.

Check the Architects Register
Smart checks

Before you hire an architect

Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
