Kitchen wall plastered. Having initially had some exterior brickwork repaired by Gem's sister company which necessitated the removal of part of my kitchen wall, I was given a good price to re-plaster the affected area. The plasterer arrived next day to complete the works. Very happy with the result and service.

The work was carried out by experienced and professional workers who kept us informed of what was required to complete the work.

The job was done very well with no fuss replaced the old light aswell. Very competitive price Would not hesitate to recommend.

Good work installing a Velux window in the kitchen and new ceilings and plastering in three rooms with new lighting. Looks brilliant. Great service from the office, always got straight back to me.

Lloyd quoted for fitting coving (supplied by me) against a wood structure I wanted building for the coving to butt up against (curtains to hang behind). Some minor repair work to be done to the ceiling and a total of about 10 metres of coving. The carpenter was here for 1 day and built the pelmets. The coving fitter was here for 1/2 day. I questioned him & Lloyd, but they insisted on the original quote £2.5k for 1.5 days work. Would not recommend.

Had Gem Ceilings come out to overboard and plaster two ceilings. They arrived on time, were polite and friendly, and carried out the work within the agreed upon time scale. The quality of work is good and I have seen no issues with it so far. One slight complaint is that the rooms were a little dirty when they left, but plaster dust is a nuisance to completely clean up so I can forgive them on that.

We had our ceilings and walls completely plastered throughout and Gem were great with minimal disruption as possible for such a big job. I would highly recommend them. Sue in the office explained everything. And kept me informed throughout the process.

Plaster found on flooring, window's, sanitary ware and brand new lighting The hall ceiling plaster fell back down, billed for £608 after I was told it was the plasterers fault, by the plasterer! Painter turned up a week after the agreed start date worked 4hours a day as he had a different job. Went sick, a new painter came after weeks waiting. Plaster finish was very rough Painting and cutting in was amateur at best. Billed an extra £576 to emulsion inside a wardrobe the price was not agreed before painting.

A very reliable company that did the job to a high standard. Good back-up from office staff too. Would definitely use again.

Our house was a 1930's rendered house. Gem and the team gave us a very competitive quote and the team came along and completely removed all the rendering back to brickwork the re-rendered our entire house, then followed up by painting. 10 out of 10 would use this firm for future work

Gem came out and boarded and plastered 4 rooms for us with a very decorative cornice which looks incredible.

Luke did a fantastic job skimming a bedroom ceiling. He even managed to do a great job in a hard to reach area of the room. Well done!

I had a mixed experience with Gem after my lath/plaster bedroom ceiling partially collapsed. On the plus side: * Manager was initially helpful (see later) * Great job overboarding existing ceiling in small bedroom. Big negative * They ripped out lath/ plaster ceiling in main room and replaced with soundboard- they said would be ‘like for like’ soundproofing wise. This is not the case- there is now no soundproofing between my flat and one above. They refused to come and check work/rectify.We now have to get another company. Very poor There is more to say but not enough space to write

Every aspect of working with Gem Ceilings was a delight, from the ease of quoting and invoicing to the lovely team doing the work. Everyone put me at ease from the outset, explained the progress as they went along and went above and beyond at every stage. The work was all done beautifully, super-speedily and tidily with no grumbles at all when deliveries arrived unexpectedly which meant pausing work or dismantling equipment. Gem quickly provided quotes and were available to complete the work very quickly. They were able to offer a variety of skills and the communication was very good via the team and also the office. I felt reassured during the process particularly as our flat was under quite a lot of upheaval. Gem were easy to deal with, courteous and took pride in their work which is why I contracted them for the garden as well as our sitting room. I will use them again in the future...

They did very well. They came when they said they would and they worked extremely hard, cleared up after themselves.
