We used JPR Carpentry and Building Services for a single story rear extension. The team have done an excellent job which was reasonably priced and completed ahead of schedule despite working in difficult winter conditions. Communication was great from start to finish. Josh was happy to accommodate changes and additions as the build progressed. Any unexpected issues were resolved quickly. The work has been finished to a high standard and the site was kept clean and tidy throughout. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and using them for any future work.

Josh was extremely knowledgeable and professional when he visited to quote us on a potential RSJ being installed, he was honest and punctual and very obviously wanted to find the best resolution. He kindly phoned his architect during the quote visit, who was able to verify our concerns, and Josh was able to give us a quote only a few hours after visiting, and was even able to offer to complete the works in a very quick turnaround- less than a week after he visited for the quote. I would absolutely use Josh again for any future building work.

Josh and Dan completed a complicated job removing and replacing floorboards and rectifying the slope in the floor. There were a lot of unknowns as we didn't know what caused the slope. They worked hard to find the reason (slow leak in the sewer pipe) and rebuilt our bay window. They were adaptable in dealing with a number of issues. Dan did an amazing job rebuilding and repointing the outside wall. They replaced the joists and floorboards, and installed the wooden flooring. They also did an excellent job replacing fence panels in the garden. They are reliable, friendly and hard working.

Josh and his team were reliable, conscientious and weren’t happy until we were happy. From the outset they provided a detailed quote and a timescale - both of which they stuck to. The work was of a superb quality and we couldn’t be happier. They were as pleasant a team of builders as you would hope to find. Would highly recommend.

From start to finish Josh and his team made the whole process stress free. The work was fast and tidy and the attention to detail was 5* highly recommended.

We brought Josh and the team in to take down a load bearing wall between our kitchen and dining room, brick up a doorway, strip out our old kitchen, turn a window into a back door onto our garden and replace all the windows and doors in the new kitchen/diner. Josh and the team were excellent, always staying in touch and letting us know what was going on. Thanks to the guys, will deffo be getting them back for future work.

We had Josh and his associates with us for just over 6 months this year initially to find a built-over drain cover but ended up using him for a load of other work, first replacing the main roof of our house, then a full garage rebuild and finally a conservatory rebuild! His "no-botched-jobs" mentality really stood out, always striving for the best long-term solution to any problem. He was always helpful in suggesting courses of action and always had someone on hand at short notice to get the job done (electricians, plasterers, painters etc). I would definitely recommend JPR!

J.P.R confirmed they had experience with the specific locking system and hinges we had. Finley Carpentry, sub-contracted without our knowledge, arrived to fit a composite door, not the hardwood door. Finley struggled with the locking system and hinges. J.P.R inspected and found the work totally unacceptable, quoting "butchered". J.P.R promised fixes but later withdrew. J.P.R refunded the door/frame cost, leaving us with an unfinished, insecure door. Avoid J.P.R and Finley Carpentry. Their lack of professionalism and poor craftsmanship were disappointing. Save yourself the stress and worry.

JPR were true professionals from start to finish for our bathroom renovation. Made quick work of removing the old suite, tiles and dealing with all the waste as well! Able to deal with the unexpected leak which had been going on for years. Fixed the problem and sorted all the flooring ready for the new suite. Amazing job tiling floors & walls and fitting our new suite, bath / shower / sink and toilet. Couldn’t be happier with the finished job! All for a really great price. Would recommend to anyone looking for work done on their home - I’ll definitely be using JPR again in the future.

The project developed from a simple boarded loft area through to a complete loft conversion,replacement of three ceilings and redecoration of the majority of our bungalow.Throughout Josh and his team (Gary, Andrew the Decorator, Mark, Electrician, Plasterers all adapted to our needs with efficiency, keenness, kindness and thought due to our age and health issues.Throughout the lengthened project they sourced and applied quality building products with cost effectiveness always their aim and ensured the whole house was adapted even better than we ever thought! A superb service throughout!

This is the second time I’ve used JPR for building work and definitely would use again. Came the same week I contacted them and came back with a quote the following. All work was completed before the expected date even when we asked them to do extra work along the way. Everything has been done to a high standard and love our new kitchen.

JPR building have customer service down to a tee! After reaching out for a quote, they immediately responded and provided a quote, completing the work the next say. They were professional, friendly, efficient and the quality of the work is faultless. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or to recommend them. They also removed existing rubbish from our garden which took a big job off our hands.

Josh was great he came up with so many ideas to improve the ones we had. We were so relieved that we did the extra work he suggested as it’s made such a huge difference and we love it. Arrived promptly, and kept us up to date with what was going on. Sorted all other trades out for us which was such a relief. Our Edwardian coving was saved when the steel was inserted which we were over the moon with! Would have them back without any hesitation Thanks again Josh and everyone that came to help to get this job finished in time for us. We can’t thank you enough.

Joshua and company were brilliant from start to finish. Started on time, finished on time, gave an accurate estimate, and were flexible and helpful with planning and design. They we very diligent, tidy and respectful of our property. We are very happy with the end result. We will definitely be using JPR again for future projects.

JPR carpenters have done an incredible job on our victorian property, removing a chimney breast and knocking through 3 rooms, and fitting a new kitchen with bifold doors out to the garden. The communication has been excellent, Josh kept us informed at every stage and offered a lot of good suggestions for improvements we hadn't considered during the planning stage. With a great eye for detail, the quality of finish has been exceptional, from the plastering, to the tiling and decorating. Where issues have been identified, JPR have addressed them without issue. Would highly recommend!
