Jon is an excellent builder -- he has done a variety of work for us -- big and small projects, all done exceptionally well, with superb attention to detail, and total professionalism. I recommend him highly with no reservations at all.

Jon has now done a few different projects for us -- a wide range of work including demolition, building slabs to provide the base for both a shed and for a large greenhouse, building a substantial outside seating area, and laying substantial pathways across the garden and building fences. Every single project has been professionally carried out, high quality work. He is efficient, hard working, and has an attention to detail and a wealth of experience that mean he can be relied on to provide excellent work, but also offering advice when you are unsure how to get the result you want. Highly recommended!

I've used John and JWS construction 3 times over the last 2 years since moving into a house requiring a lot of renovation work. John has laid a concrete slab for us in our cellar in preparation for tanking, rebuilt an adjoining wall with our neighbours and replaced a wall in our porch to insulate and waterproof it. John's work if of high quality, and he also has the experience to give you advice on how best to approach a piece of work, and to do so without doing work or spending money that is unnecessary. I will always to go John as my first port of call for any building work going forward.

John has done work for us previously and it speaks volumes that we turn to him first for all new jobs -- the quality of his work is so good! The latest job was building two pergolas, one of modest size, the other one very substantial. Both structures are perfect! He is practical, considerate, extremely experienced and I trust his judgment totally. He has excellent ideas, and offers advice when asked (I am often unsure of what the construction issues are that should be considered and he is always extremely helpful to point out potential pitfalls, or considerations). The quality is superb, and the end product beautiful. His pricing is very reasonable, particularly given the quality. He is a pleasure to have on site as he is very considerate. I recommend him very highly indeed!
