Killan have just completed a job for us. Very competent, polite and tidy.

Had our front wall (the only cavity wall on our house) ties replaced. John performed his investigation and is friendly clearly highly knowledgeable. He completed the job from the outside with minimum mess and fuss, and sorted a guarantee certificate from the Wall Tie Installers Federation to satisfy a condition of our mortgage agreement. Would highly recommend.

We have a listed property and Killan Structural Ltd were recommended by the company who did a structural report for us. They arrived on time, were very polite and cleaned up after themselves and the work they did on the front of our house is fantastic. The cracks on the wall/lintel's are now completely gone and it looks like they were never there. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this company!!

We had a number of works done to the front of our terraced property including lateral restraints, removing all the old cavity wall ties and replacing them. We are very happy with the work undertaken by John and his team, and just how accommodating they were with our timescales.

Fantastic knowledge and expertise with all elements of making my house structurally sound. I had a number of resin fixings, straps and ties to stabilise internal walls, the roof and gable end. A new dorma was also constructed with block work, steels and timber works which was finished with large windows which made the best of our amazing view over Manchester. I'd spotted John's van around and decided to contact him when we needed some bulges on the stonework sorting out. He was really approachable and did a good job, especially as everything was exactly as quoted. He kept us informed throughout and we're really pleased with the result.

Our house is listed and over 400 years old. This gave rise to a number of problems which the joiner solved very well. Willingly came back to sort out a few minor problems.

I have used Killan structural for work on my own home and rental properties. Work done by them (always to a high standard) includes a two storey extension with a modern glass pod and bi-folding doors attached to an existing Edwardian house - with all the associated issues involved. It was a six month project and the whole team were friendly and efficient. I have also used them for smaller jobs including wall ties, structural reinforcement work, roofing, as well as the refurb of a Victorian terraced rental. John is also my go to guy for recommending other tradespeople in the area who can be trusted ti do a good job - I would thoroughly recommend Killan Structural to family and friends.

Who should I contact to repair a crack in a thermalite block wall in a bedroom? A specialised job I wasn't sure was within the scope of an everyday builder. Luckily, I was introduced to John Killan who quickly diagnosed the necessary repair work. A quotation followed within a day or two. The workmen arrived on schedule were courteous and sympathetic to carpets etc. The resin repair work was undertaken amazingly quickly. Plastering followed a few days later and was of a similar high quality. The virtually invisible repair exceeded all expectations.

We had work done on an existing extension to convert to a pitched roof and remove an internal wall then fit a new kitchen and downstairs toilet. The work was completed on schedule, to a high standard and within budget. Communication and organisation during the project was excellent. There was good attention to detail throughout. I instructed Killan Structural to carry out works at my house earlier this year, which involved taking down an existing structure, reclaiming the stone, taking down internal walls, putting in RSJs to create an open plan living space and using the reclaimed stone to form new exterior walls. John and Bob Killan, and everyone in their team, provided an excellent service from start to finish. All of the work was done on time, on budget and to a very high standard.
