Highlights

"My experience with kingfisher Auto repairs is consistently excellent. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Today Ian and his guys went the extra mile at extremely short notice to fix my car in time for a driving test. Prices always reasonable. No nasty surprises, friendly and professional. Can’t thank them enough."

"Car had an engine light on and due MOT shortly, booked me in next day for a diagnosis. Rang back with the diagnosis, explained exactly what needed repairing and why the work needed done, with a total for everything. Booked in shortly after that as parts needed to be ordered, quoted 2-3 days work. However, after dropping the car off, called back after 1.5 days work and everything completed. Explained everything they had done when picking the car up again with a clear invoice of the parts, etc. Very professional and friendly, would definitely recommend for any issues."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
