Highlights

"Andy was very professional, punctual and reliable. Excellent value, would recommend."

Andrew ECheckatrade5.0 rating

"Both Neil and Andy were fantastic. The work they completed was done to a high standard and they were able to add and change anything I required. The communication was amazing and so was their attention to detail. They provided options on certain elements of the kitchen which worked out a lot better than what was planned. They also did further electrical and plumbing work. They both were very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend."

"We had our Ikea kitchen fitted by Neil and couldn't be more pleased. The worktop fitting is perfectly neat and seamless. But even with the cupboards, doors, drawers, and panelling, there’s no way we could have managed that ourselves (you’d think a small Ikea kitchen is something you could tackle on your own, but once it comes to all those finishing details, there’s no way a non-professional, or even a dedicated DIYer, wouldn’t struggle). Neil was professional throughout, yet also friendly and patient, which made the whole process completely stress-free. I’d happily recommend him to anyone."

"Architect" is a title protected by law - only people on the official Architects Register (held by ARB) may use it. Confirm they're on it before you commission a design.

Check the Architects Register
Smart checks

Before you hire an architect

Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
