Highlights

"Very pleased with the work done to update the electrics in our house. The electrician was friendly and easy to get on with. He was a good communicator, made suggestions and explained everything clearly. Arrived on time every morning and was genuinely concerned to get the best results for us and our property. He was really helpful. He obviously took pride in his work, which was impressively neat and tidy."

"Look no further if you need any electrical work done! Alan and Naomi executed a full rewire of an old property flawlessly. Alan is not someone that just does things just to finish the job early - he takes care so that everything runs smoothly and makes sure that you understand what's happening (and why). Other electricians claimed that they could do the job but Alan gave me the most confidence. I'm glad I went with him and will continue to use him for projects going forwards."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
