We hired Steve Knight Construction to convert a double garage in our Grade II listed property into a high-end, modern living space with a lounge, bedroom, and bathroom. From gutting the structure to the bare bones to the final touches, Steve’s team delivered exceptional quality throughout - while carefully following all the regulations that come with listed buildings. The workmanship is outstanding, and every problem along the way was handled professionally and without fuss. What really stood out was the team's respectful attitude and high level of skill. We recently had our downstairs toilet converted and are really pleased with the end result. The work was completed to a high standard, with great attention to detail throughout. Steve’s team of builders, tiler, electricians etc. was professional, tidy, and respectful of our home. Communication was clear from start to finish, and any questions we had were answered promptly by Steve and Michele. We’re very happy with how the space has turned out – it’s made a real difference. Steve came highly recommended by a friend so we asked if he could quote to convert the grass area of our driveway to shingle. He arrived when he said, was friendly, knowledgeable and provided a very reasonable quote. Everything was handled by Steve and his team, the guys on the job were great - punctual, tidy and kept us informed of each stage. The driveway was completed in good time and we are so happy with it! I wouldn't hesitate to contact Steve for future work, we were really impressed.

From the minute Steve walked in the house he gave me confidence on the alterations I was looking at. He started on a mutually agreed date carried out everything he said he was going to in a timely, professional manner, nothing was an issue and the guys cleared up and left areas sensibly after every days work. All the trades were friendly, diligent and respectful of my home. The works included general building alterations with new and infilled openings, electrical works, plastering and joinery with a really smart hardwood herringbone floor. All in all really professional from start to finish. I personally spent 40 years in construction so would like to feel I know what good looks like and Steve and his team exceeded expectations. Highly recommended! The starting price was the finishing price as well.

Everyone who came to work at the house was professional and friendly. The work was done to an excellent standard and they were very patient with my tweaks to the plans as the job got started! All costs were clear and we were updated throughout on all aspects of the job. We felt like we were in good hands and we could not be more delighted with the end result.

We used Steve and his team on our build they were a fantastic team, always on time. Neat and tidy workers and a great final result. They put up with my 2 crazy dogs and me constantly asking questions. They were unfazed when we added or changed things. They went above and beyond. Michele was also fantastic sending over not just invoices but itemised quotes as things changed so we could keep on top of the changing costs. We would definitely recommend Steve and his team.

Steve Knight and his team completed our extension on time and at the agreed cost. All of the guys who worked on the project were terrific - they all clearly take great pride in their work. Steve was always on top of the work with each trade following on from the previous. Nothing was too much trouble and the work was carried out with minimum disruption to the main house wherever possible. We are so pleased we have found Steve and his team as the extension is everything we wanted. All the neighbours have said what a great job they have done and the minimum disruption caused by the polite and courteous workforce. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We worked with Steve, Michele and their team for over a year on a substantial double extension/ renovation project. We have been very happy with the standard of work and finish and have had no problems. The project was delivered on time and within budget. Steves team were reliable and incredibly hard working and all trades were very experienced and trustworthy. Great work undertaken by Steve and his lads. Neat and tidy workers and an amazing final result. The same nice polite guys put up with all my kids and dogs (and me) being nosey until the end of the job. Totally unfazed when I kept adding more tasks to the list. Good value too. Steve and the team did a great job a at our house over a 6 month period, including major downstairs re-design, new kitchen, new roof, windows, doors and new upstairs bathroom. All the workers were professional and helpful and did a good job of keeping the site tidy. The work was done to good standard and on budget. Would definitely recommend Steve for any size job.

They also went the extra mile helping with storage of roof tiles and chopped wood from the job. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Great people to work with who did everything they were contracted to do. They left the site shipshape. Will need to re-grass where the soakaway was put in but that is toibe expected.

We’re very happy with the finished product thank you, and Steve and the guys (and Michele) were always happy to adapt as we changed our mind/changed the spec slightly as we went along so that was appreciated. All finished within budget and we’ll be in touch next time we have a project for sure.

Steve's team recently completed a renovation of our kitchen/dining room. The team completed the work on time, to a good standard and kept the place tidy enough during the works so we could still live in the house whilst everything was going on. The team team dealt with the kitchen provider to improve the design of the kitchen as they progressed through the project and we're really pleased with their suggested changes.
