"I've been fortunate enough to use Liam's services now for over 5 years now, and I can confidently say he is a true master of his craft. He has done everything from fixing subfloors to renovating kitchens and bathrooms. Whilst he his skills are exceptional, what really sets him apart is how professional he is and how much he cares. He communicates brilliantly, always letting us know expected arrival times, any potential problems, etc. We use a young family and he is always so courteous of potential noise when the little ones are napping. I honestly cannot recommend Liam enough."

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
