Michael Rose Painting Services

We had to wait a few weeks as Michael is busy but it was well worth it. He remedied some plaster on the ceiling and painted our sitting room, which is a large high-ceilinged room. It looks beautiful and he was reliable, trustworthy and pleasant throughout. Would definitely recommend him.

Michael and his team were outstanding.Friendly,courteous and professional at all times. Dealt with problems that arose without complaint, and called in other contractors when unable to do jobs themselves. Job was delivered on budget and on time.Went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with the end result.Took care clearing up,and removed all detritus.Many neighbours have walked by and complimented us on how good the house looks now. We are extremely pleased with the outcome,would not hesitate to use Michael again, and would highly reccomend Michael Rose painting to anyone.

Michael responded to my initial email enquiry very quickly. He came round on the agreed specified day and the quote came the day after that. The price was what I had expected to pay for the job. He was polite and courteous as were his staff. They were very diligent in the placing of dust sheets, covered the windows in plastic and even covered the neighbours cars to avoid any accidental splashes (the house is terraced so we are close to the neighbours) and always cleared up at the end of the day. The colour we chose from the swatch card turned out to be much brighter than we’d expected when it was painted on the door. Michael went to the trouble of going to the Dulux supplier and picking up several sample pots so that we found a colour we were satisfied with. Excellent customer service

I can thoroughly recommend Michael Rose and his team. Michael has taken the time to train his team and they produce outstanding, high quality work whilst maintaining a thoughtful, client orientated relationship during the whole process. They were punctual, clean and efficient. Michael was present two or three times a day to check or help with the work an important factor when working for older people who are often present throughout the whole job. Michael is good value for money, no hidden or extra costs. All the work was completed as quoted and within the timeframe. Definitely 5star!!

Michael and his team just repainted my first floor windows. They did a great job. They arrived on time both days and were very polite, friendly and professional. They used sheets under the painting areas and were very tidy. The quote was also reasonable.

We enthusiastically recommend Michael Rose. The exterior of our house needed mending and repainting. The work was planned methodically, the repairs were carried out thoroughly and we were informed at every stage. The work was done to the agreed schedule and budget. Michael and his co-workers, Joe and Alfie, take obvious pride in their work. Our every wishes were taken into consideration and at the end of every day, the site was left tidy. Michael is an obvious professional. The house now gleams from top to bottom.

I want to share my personal experience and how I felt from the service I received back in 2021 from Mr Rose’s Painting Service. I hired Mr Rose to decorate my kitchen (10ft by 12ft), he quoted xyz with a deposit of £925.00 up-front, my lapse in questioning Mr Rose why he was asking for a large amount up-front when he had not completed any work to that value. “One might say it was a bit of a lapse, but one does tend to take people on trust until one has some reason to doubt their credibility.” The final straw for me was when the paintwork blistered, after that I did not allow Mr Rose to return. Personally I will not be using Mr Rose again as I have no trust or faith in him or his work. It is a shame I did not read John’s google review before I hired him and agree with John’s comment about being out of pocket and will need to pay again to get the work done properly. Or shall I live in hope that Mr Rose will do the right thing and return my funds one day?? As I ask Mr Rose to return part of my funds paid (£600.00), after speaking to another decorator he mentioned what I had offered was reasonable and “surprised he did not jump at the offer as a poor review can be detrimental to your business”, Mr Rose replied with an unpleasant e-mail, which I felt disappointed by. Shame I cannot attach the photos of his work, like the saying goes: “a picture is worth a thousand words”
