Highlights

"I recently used Olde English Restoration, and Adam did a fantastic job rebuilding my front garden wall. He was timely, communicated clearly, and was really easy to work with throughout the whole project. He also helped with the design, offering ideas that really improved the final look. The quality of his workmanship is excellent, and the finished wall looks great. I’m really pleased with the result and would happily recommend Adam and Olde English Restoration to anyone."

"Adam was fantastic - clear, quick and helpful communication throughout the process. He’s done a great job and whilst we only needed a small site repairing this time, his advice and approach means we’ll definitely want to work with him again. Thank you Adam!"

"Adam was absolutely excellent. I was having some water leak into my flat and Adam quickly came round and inspected the property and diagnosed the issue. He provided a quote and was available to fix the problem in good time. His communication was excellent - he made sure I understood the issue and was very clear about the work needed. A fantastic service and I would definitely recommend him."

Before you hire a builder

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow — both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
