"Pete has done a rear house extension for me. What I was most satisfied with was his commitment and time keeping. Time was a big factor for me as the new extension was to be a kitchen and as not having a functional kitchen, you can imagine. Pete stared the work within a week or so from the quotation and stuck with the time frame as promised, even had to work some weekends to make up for the weather. I though the price paid was fair. He was also invested to help me save money on the project with his tips and connections. He's done the brick work and the roof structure."

Pete's experience and knowledge shone through in the work he did for us and we are very happy with the results. The work included general block work, general brick work, fitting steel lintels, working seamlessly with the carpenter for the roof and floor joists as well as a complicated chimney rebuild and liaising with the specialist roofing and render contractors. I would highly recommend Peter!"

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
