"Very pleased with Mark right from the beginning. He showed up on time for the initial visit and produced the quote when he said he would. Very pleased with the price quoted to replace and extended my decking with composite boards. Considering it rained for two days, Mark still carried out the work and even though it was very muddy there was minimal mess which was cleaned up on the last day before he left. Very pleased with the decking and how it looks. An excellent job by Mark and his colleague, highly recommend and would absolutely use again."

Before you hire a builder
Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
