My experience with Simon and S Barker Electrical has been nothing short of excellent. Very reliable, honest and experienced electricians. Also booking work is a breeze via the online booking system. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for the best Electricians in Leeds.

Simon replaced the upstairs lights and wiring and fitted a new distribution board. The work was done to time, at reasonable cost and with no extra charges. He did a neat job and used quality materials. Finally he provided a very detailed Domestic Electrical Installation Certificate to cover the work. At all times he kept us fully informed. I would certainly use his services again.

Great guy. Very personable. Very professional. Arrived Friday afternoon. Identified problem. Went away to get replacement item and came back following morning (Saturday) at 8.30 to fix it! I have no hesitation in recommending Simon.

Having been provided with all new IT equipment I needed to arrange for PAT testing to be completed. I searched google and S Barker Electrical stood out to me due to the high rating it had received from past customers. Once I had submitted my query, I received an email confirmation of costs and date of testing within an hour. On the day of the works, I received a message to state that Simon was on his way which is a huge benefit when you are engrossed in work. Simon arrived in good time and was professional the during the time he was in the office and testing of 53 items was carried out in approximately half an hour. I received the report the following morning along with the final confirmed costs which were exceptionally reasonable. I can confirm without a doubt that the positive ratings are definitely correct and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

Rang Simons office regarding a new light fitting. Simon rang me back in a short space of time, he then text me back with with the cost. All stated on the bill. He texted me on the day arranged saying he was 10 minutes away, he arrived on time. Experienced reliable and even brought over shoes. Very respectful. Thank you Simon.

Replacement of electric shower switch carried out in professional fashion. Simon arrived at the appointed time - no waiting in all day. His approach was friendly and he had a helpful and confident manner, explaining what needed to be done. Reasonable cost. Work carried out quickly, neat and tidy. Happy to use again in the future.

I used Simon to find two faults, one with my garden lighting and one with a ceiling fitting. The garden lights were not easy to get at but Simon persevered. He sorted both jobs and also ordered a couple of things which he said he would bring back and fix without extra charge. Clean work, friendly. Good clear pricing structure and really clear information and communication. Would definitely recommend.

Simon arrived in time, and he was very polite and clean in his job. He did everything perfectly, expalained the issue a and solved the problem in 40 mins more or less!! An honest worker i would say. Thank you very much!!

Simon got straight to work and is clearly experienced. He kept me informed throughout and although the problem I had will need a proper fix in future he got me up and running with a temporary fix. Lovely chap and I will call him again if I need.

Simon provides an excellent service. He always takes care not to dirty carpets by wearing shoe coverings and cleans up afterwards with his own powerful vacuum cleaner. He turned up exactly when he said he would and did a thorough assessment of my home's electrical safety. He obviously takes his business very seriously and that comes across when he talks about what he does behind the scenes, learning and taking advantage of technology to communicate with his website visitors. He is honest and trustworthy.

Simon installed an electric shower for me. Getting the job done was delayed by Simon not hearing back from his shower supplier after 3 days. I therefore purchased a shower myself and Simon installed it. He did a good job and tidied up after himself. I had emailed/texted him about another job (faulty light switch) which I asked him to do at the same time as the shower installation. On the day, he knew nothing about the light switch so came unprepared and unable to do the work. He said he would get back to me about the switch. After 2 weeks I had heard nothing from him. Simon is clearly good at electrical work but seems to struggle with the important and essential bits in between - clear, honest communication and not leaving customers hanging. Clearly, he’s extremely busy but, for me, being busy is not an excuse for not doing something you said you would do. I’ve suggested to Simon that perhaps it’s time to shift his productivity approach from trying to do everything to doing fewer things, better.

Simon is very professional as are the people working with him. Communication was easy by email and phone, staff I spoke to listened to what I had to say, then were very clear and precise with their information. I also appreciated the booking system which put the customer in control of booking his time. It was only a small job this time, but now I know with confidence there is an electrician out there one can trust.

I got in touch with S Barker after consulting Which Trusted Traders and visiting the S Barker website. I required a number of jobs doing, sockets added, hardwiring for an alarm siren, repair/replacement of washing machine fuse switch etc. and was reassured these would be done by Mr. Barker's video on his site which claims that no job is too small. Perhaps not, but he appears not to travel very far as I received an email telling me he does not cover my area. I live in the same postcode area as he does. I did not receive a reply when I pointed this out.
