Highlights

"Simon gave me a call back as soon as I put out a request to fix our toilet that wouldn’t stop running. He not only arranged to come over the next day, but also asked for videos in advance to make sure he had the right parts for the job. He did a great job fixing the toilet and provided clear pricing (no hidden costs!). We’ll definitely be using Simon again and recommending him to others."

"Stepped in to help install a new washing machine after I was let down by an online company. Turned up when he said he would, fitted the new appliance very efficiently, and even arranged for my old appliance to be removed which was a big bonus. Highly recommended, will definitely be using Simon again!"

"I couldn’t recommend Simon highly enough. We contacted him to do an urgent repair to a toilet after being let down by another plumber who said it couldn’t be fixed and he’d send a quote for replacement then didn’t. Simon was kind enough to come at the earliest possible time and he completed the repair successfully. He will be returning to do other works soon. Thoroughly professional and knowledgeable tradesman."

Gas work is restricted by law to Gas Safe registered engineers. If they'll touch a boiler or any gas appliance, confirm they're currently on the register before you hire - it's free and takes a minute.

Smart checks

Before you hire a gas engineer

By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register — ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
For a boiler or appliance install, get the work and price in writing and keep the Gas Safe / Building Regulations certificate they are required to give you.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
