Highlights

"A few years ago, Dan at Socket & C redid our consumer unit and did some preparatory work for the installation of solar and a heat pump. When I needed an EV charger installing I was delighted to ask him to do this work as well. Dan does great work, cleans up afterwards and, most importantly, keeps me updated if there are any scheduling changes or issues. I have, once again, been very pleased with the results. Highly recommended."

"Very professional & friendly service, great turnaround times for completing the work after initial contact & kept us up to date through out! We had new lights installed in our garage which had recently been refurbed as a gym and great care was taken with looking after all the equipment. Very pleased & would definitely use again!"

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
