Very efficient friendly service to carry out a level 2 chimney inspection of our open fire flue. Comprehensive written report, with suggestions for remedial work, produced the same day. Would highly recommend.

Would highly recommend SweepSmart. I had a level 1 inspection and sweep of my flue at my Grade 2 listed thatch cottage. Keil provided essential guidance including the best way to maintain a safe working chimney flue when using my log burner. The work was carried out professionally with no residual mess once the sweep was completed. The report and certification that was provided regarding the condition of my flue was detailed and reassuring and was received only a few hours after Keil had inspected my chimney. Follow up questions were also quickly responded to. Excellent job!

Efficient and clean work on 3 stoves/chimneys. One stove had a baffle with a hairline crack and it broke during removal - we had an informative discussion about the pros and cons of such baffles and Paul promised to replace it if - after running the stove for a bit - I decide it would be beneficial. Arrived earlier than expected (no problem) swept the whole fireplace speedily and efficiently with no mess and also changed the rope on log burner. Excellent communication throughout and a good price for the work, would definitely recommend.

They attended promptly, were respectful of furnishings, etc, did a thorough clean of flue (which was Poujoulat Therminox T1 and Zi flexible) and had a look at chimney stack and cowl. All cleaned, and tested with smoke, flue was warmed prior to test. The flu drew well, as evidenced by opening and closing of door. However, they identified a problem with the air vent - it did not affect the draw at all, smoke just filled the chamber whether 'open' or 'closed'. They checked that the plate was sliding underneath (with mirror) when the air vent was operated, which seemed to be working but in terms of clearing smoke it was not working. I have now contacted the manufacturer as it is a new stove and hopefully this will be fixed. Very pleased with the service and the ability to diagnose what was not working.

We had issues with smoke leaking from the chimney. SweepSmart were able to attend promptly and the communication was very good. Paul was very effective in diagnosing the problem and talking me through everything and showing me on the CCTV. I was really happy with their service so have asked them to price up and carry out the remedial works.
