T M Hughes were called in to attend to heating pipe leak/leaks within the solid ground floor. The floor had a mahogany mosaic finish overlain with a fitted carpet. Parts of the floor creaked when walked on indicating a loss of adhesion of the timber. Terry Hughes responded immediately and with thermal imaging technology quickly identified the location of the leak.. Within a few days the floor had been excavated exposing the pipework, new pipes fitted and the floor made good up to the finish. The work was carried out skilfully and expeditiously with minimal disturbance elsewhere.

Terry and his team (with a special mention for Pavell) did a great job of renovating our central heating system. They replaced two of our twelve radiators, a circulating pump and a valve. They then power flushed the whole system. In thirty plus years the system has never worked as well as it does now! They turned up on time, did the job in line with the estimate and provided great follow up to make sure we were happy. We will definitely be using them again.

Luke came to replace a bathroom radiator and also tidied up the pipe work. Historically, when our central heating system is shut down and drained, an air lock develops and it’s difficult to get the radiators back up to heat. Luke took all of this in his stride and was a pleasure to have in the house. Another good job done by Terry Hughes’ company. Highly recommended

I had two air conditioning units installed in my house (Samsung, 4 way mini ceiling cassettes). Terry was excellent, professional and attentive, mapping out potential options, pipe / cable runs, unit locations and electrical work. He kept me up to date on sourcing units and went the extra mile to find the units we were after. Mick, Jamie and Chris were brilliant when installing the units - very tidy, courteous and did a fantastic job. All in all, would def recommend for AC installation.

My boiler was due for annual check up and gas hob was also checked. The company was great, I was updated on the day about time of arrival. I asked lots of questions and got all answers. Great service and staff very polite. Highly recommend

We were replacing our old tank fed boiler for a combi boiler. We chose T.M. Hughes & Son as Terry was genuine, honest with timelines, what we needed and Worcester Bosch accredited. As we had no heating, Terry offered heaters if needed. Alex arrived on time and was one of the most professional, friendliest, organised, helpful and tidiest engineers I’ve come across. It was a 4 day job, removing the old system, a power flush and installing the new system with new pipe work. Not at any point was there any concerns. We are very satisfied and T.M.Hughes & Son deserve 5 stars for a 5 star service.

At around 6.30pm we realised that we had a leaking radiator in a bathroom and turning off the valves didn’t help. Rang Terry who was out for the evening, he gave some advice on what to do and said he would call his son to see if he was available. Son Kai was going to see his girlfriend but turned around and was with us within 30 mins. Our system is quite complicated and Kai had to drain most of it in order to stop the leak. He spent around 2 hours with us and was very professional and willing the whole time. Terry came in the evening to get air out of the system with need all his expertise

Terry arrived as promised and sorted out our problem quickly. He was able to explain what was wrong and advised us on what to do if the problem happened again.

Fast, simple and competent service right from calling up to book an annual boiler service to the service being carried out. Will use this engineer from now on for my boiler & heating needs. 👍

TM Hughes & Son work very quickly and professionally, all the work is completed with almost no need to tidy up afterward. They installed a new boiler and pipes for us. Very good at responding to e-mails and queries. We definitely recommend their service.

Terry and Kai recently did a boiler service and helped me out with a big issue created by a previous plumber contracted by the building company I hired to do a loft conversion. I wish I'd hired Terry/Kai for the job back then, as it would have been done properly and saved a lot of money! I now stick to TM Hughes because I trust Terry and Kai to do a proper, honest job.
