I had a new system installed

As a business, we have used Ability Security Consultants for several years. They have installed fire alarms and intruder alarms at various premises for us over this time, and their work has been excellent. They are always on the end of the phone if there are any issues and their response time is great. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Ability Security installed a dual alarm system in our house in 2016, which they maintained most satisfactorily until 31/10/24, when we sold our property. They provided guidance throughout this period, sorted out any complications arising from entering the wrong password, electricity cuts, etc. They serviced the whole system every year, replacing batteries and repositioning sensors as our use of the rooms changed over time. They were always prompt and efficient. I highly recommend them.

A battery had failed on an alarm sensor which should have lasted another 6 months. Upon calling Ability they visited within two days and replaced all the batteries on the sensors to make sure it wouldn't happen again. As usual very helpful and very clean.

I have now for several years employed the services of Ability Security Consultants. They installed my first burglars' alarm back in the early 2000s and regularly serviced the system. I recently upgraded my alarm to a state-of-the-art model and all went very smoothly. I have always found David and his team highly professional, knowledgeable and willing to advise on latest developments in a user-friendly language. Thank you Ability!

I have used Ability Security for nearly 10 years. They provide my domestic burglar alarm system and CCTV in my driveway. David Quinn and his team have always been responsive and efficient. Whenever there has been a problem they are friendly and efficient and quickly find a solution. Most recently, my car was broken into in my driveway. The Ability guys helped to find the relevant CCTV footage and to extract it for rapid onward transmission to the police. I have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly.

We have had an Ability Alarm for 19 years and David has usually been the engineer to service and maintain the system. We have always found him to be professional, courteous and his work is of a high standard. We have recently upgraded to install some CCTV which has proven to be an excellent addition to our security system. Whenever we have had an issue or need an emergency call out, the issue has been resolved quickly and efficiently. I heartedly endorse this trader!

David of Ability Security is highly recommended. They installed a new house alarm and motion sensors for me and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. David is knowledgeable and friendly and doesn’t try to push extras/oversell anything. He provided exactly that we needed and was flexible when visiting first of all and then with the appointment to install. Installation took a couple of hours, really professionally done and worked around me being at home at the same time. Went through all the operations in detail so we had a clear understanding of how the system worked. Highly recommended

Ability Security was one of 3 companies I sought a quote from when my existing CCTV system failed. Dave came around to take a look at my house and gave me good advice on how best to replace it. He was reassuring and explained where the cameras could be placed to give good coverage. He also explained how the system worked, what the storage on the recording box was and how many days recording would be stored. The price he quoted was on a par with the others but I found him the most reassuring when he talked through what the works would involved and he was happy to answer my questions. Dave gave me a date for the works, which worked well for me and he and his colleague turned up when he said he would. The works were done efficiently and without any issue and there was no mess at all afterwards - including removing and disposing of the old cameras. Dave explained how to use the new system and ran through the storage capacity again and showed me how to use the app (after downloading it for me). So far I've been very impressed - the picture quality is a lot better and the cameras have a light that responds to motion, which I like. All in all, I'm very satisfied and will be using Ability when my alarm contract comes to an end.

David was very knowledgeable and friendly during the quotation process, the pricing was very reasonable and the ideas and solutions to install the cameras correctly was great. The installation was very smooth, he installed 5 cameras, a junction box for the cabling and all the cabling required, he accommodated all my requests and used the type of cable I requested, he installed bird protection and did a very good and neat job. Everything worked the first time after connection with no additional work required, I was very satisfied with everything he did.

I needed a new burglar alarm. David gave me a decent quote, and shortly afterwards I had a new alarm diligently installed. All working well so far.
