Highlights

"It's the first time I have used Allan but he came at the time he'd be here, was very polite and did the job quickly but professionally, great job thank you 😁"

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"Allan came recommended by wider family. Half our fuse box stopped working suddenly and thought we needed it replaced. He was able to diagnose the issue over the phone and talked us through how to get the power back on over the phone. He then came out the next morning to fix the issue which was not the fuse box but a faulty wire to a socket. Would highly recommend as he gave honest and reliable advice over the phone to help us understand what had gone wrong. Then was able to sort the issue quickly the following morning for a very reasonable price."

"Allan came to look into three different electrical issues we'd had for quite a while. He was able to quickly get to the route cause of all tree issues and resolve two of them straight away. The third issue will require more work to resolve and my wife and I need to decide if we wish to proceed or not. Allan was friendly, helpful and informative of the issues. He explained clearly what the problems had been and what was involved in fixing. I am very happy with his work and would definitely go back to Allan if we need further work."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
