Highlights

"Aston Roofing replaced our carport roof, changing the old corrugated sheets for a felt roof with a roof light and new timber beams. The quote was very competitive, and communication throughout was excellent. The team were hardworking, tidy, and showed real care and consideration for our property. The workmanship is top quality, and we’re delighted with the result. Highly recommended!"

"From the moment contact was made my mind was put at rest by the professionalism projected . This was followed swiftly by an estimate which was very competitive and work at a mutually convenient time was agreed . I was kept informed of commencement dates as weather dictated. The job was quickly completed per the estimate and I was left dry and satisfied."

"Danny at Aston Roofing recently redid the roof on my extension and I honestly couldn’t be more pleased. He responded incredibly quickly when I contacted him when it was raining indoors as well as out! From the outset he was professional, calm and reassuring. He explained clearly what needed doing, turned up when he said he would, and worked extremely hard and efficiently to get everything completed to a very high standard at a fair price. The quality of the workmanship is excellent and he kept everything tidy throughout. He was respectful of my home and genuinely a pleasure to have around."

"Architect" is a title protected by law - only people on the official Architects Register (held by ARB) may use it. Confirm they're on it before you commission a design.

Check the Architects Register
Smart checks

Before you hire an architect

Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
