Highlights

Irfan from Brighthouse Electrical Installation responded quickly to my advert for the installation of four passive extractor fans and one active bathroom fan. As I wanted the job done urgently, he kindly agreed to start the job the very next day after he was sent details of what needed doing. Then together with his assistant Rehan, they both worked really hard over a couple of days to complete the job satisfactorily and as per agreed time schedule. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Detailed reviews

Bright House Electrical Installations came to my house last Saturday. They came to look at the jobs on the same day which was promising. They confirmed that they'd work carry out the work and would send me a quote. A week later, I'm still waiting for the quote! They have completely wasted my time and lied about sending me a quote. If you don't want to do a job just say so instead of stringing your customers along. I was left feeling very disappointed and disrespected. Don't waste your time with this company.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
