Highlights

"Philip's reviews were what led me to asking for a quote. He was prompt in his response and on meeting him and recognising his calm professionalism, and evident knowledge and experience I didn't seek a further quote! Philip worked at our house across three days and navigated an installation that, due to the layout of hour house, was quite a task! I'm so grateful for his knowledge and perseverance, and would highly recommend Philip to anyone needing any electrical support. We won't hesitate to call upon him again."

"I would highly recommend Philip of Brook Electrical, who we found on Checkatrade. We we were buying a house in Midhurst and asked him to undertake an Electrical Installation Condition Report and I was amazed how knowledgeable he was. We then asked him to rectify all the issues he'd identified including providing and fitting a new, more modern consumer unit. Philip is polite, puntual, thorough and always explains clearly what he is doing and why."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
