Highlights

Classic Garage Doors were highly professional and expert at installing our electric garage door. When we highlighted a problem, they corrected it rapidly, leaving us highly satisfied with their service. We wanted a new door to give us more width when parking our car, Classic Garage Doors gave us the best price for a suitable door. After installation, we noted that the door was not as wide as we had wanted, and brought this to Classic Garage Doors' attention. They arranged to replace the fitted door with a wider one, and we are incredibly happy with the result. Very good and friendly service.

Impeccable installation. Now, instead of staggering backwards each time I open the “up and over” doors, they open with a touch on the remote control. Also, a rather tatty garage is now looking very smart. Worth every penny!

Very poor installation. The guy who started the installation damaged the top section of the frame by using a hammer to assemble the frame leaving hammer dents in it. A replacement frame head was found and fitted. This was also damaged on installation. One of the frame legs was cut too short. The control unit was fitted to the wall in a very loose state. The roller garage door seems to be good quality. It's a shame the installation was very poor.

Electrical work in homes in England & Wales should be done by a registered competent person who can self-certify it meets the Part P safety rules. Check they're on the official register.

Check the electrical register
In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations. Confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done. It is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
