"Received a very competitive quote and decided to book. Arranged a start date and as promised Craig turned up ready to start. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The first two were done in a day each as promised. Last one, Craig began and identified an issue with the last occupants work. Thick layers or render were used and the old fire was blocked up right. Craig informed me straight away and we agreed on remidial works. Explained time scale of an extra work and completed as promised. Finished job and tidied up. Excellent gent, excellent work ethic, excellent job done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

Agree the call-out fee, the hourly or fixed rate, and whether parts are charged on top — in writing — before an emergency plumber starts. Out-of-hours overcharging and 'while I'm here' add-ons are common complaints.
