Highlights

"Steve came out quickly and was able to get our oven repaired straight away. He identified another issue with it and offered to fix this at the same time which was really helpful. He explained everything really thoroughly to me and answered all my questions. Really professional and reasonable cost. We'd highly recommend and will use Steve in future for another other repairs we might need."

"I had a fault on my dishwasher and steve came to have a look, see if he could repair it. There was a couple faults and the parts would've been too expensive to replace so Steve from Debonnaire appliance recommended a new dishwasher that was cheaper than getting the broken one fixed. Steve was able to help me source a new dishwasher and he even fitted it and took the old one away. Great communication throughout and was on time."

Smart checks

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
