Highlights

"Super satisfied with Neil’s quote, workmanship, finish and communication. He’s now saved in my phone and I’ve already recommended him"

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"I'd previously hired Neil to rewire the rest of our house, and had no hesitation asking him back when we wanted to refit our kitchen. As before his work was neat, professional and quick. He was open to all our requests and worked around our needs. Most importantly he made several suggestions for ways we could prepare for future changes such as under cabinet lighting and an electric radiator. If he hadn't of done this there would have been no way we could add them once the kitchen was fitted. He's one of the best tradesmen we've used and we couldn't recommend him enough."

"Neil (Domestic Developments) came round and inspected the works that needed to be done. He sent over a quote the next day which we felt was very reasonable for the amount of work required and within 2 days of the quote Neil came round and done the job. He arrived early morning around 8:30 and left late in the afternoon and did a great tidy job and cleaned up after himself. I would highly recommend Neil and if I needed any future electrical works I would no hesitate to have him back again!"

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
Check any verified credentials, and that the business details independently check out.
