"Dean responded quickly to my call for help regarding a roof leak; he made a thorough examination of the problem & diagnosed the fault. Arranged to return in 3 days to carry out a repair & arrived promptly at the agreed time. Working quickly & efficiently he finished the job in a matter of hours, to my complete satisfaction, at a fair & competitive cost. I would highly recommend Dean for roofing work & will be using his services again for maintenance work on my fascias next spring. I would also add that Dean is a genuine & likeable chap."
"I can not recommend Dean and Darryl highly enough. Dean turned up on time for the initial visit, took photos of the problem with the roof to help explain the work that needed doing. An estimate for the work was sent promptly. They turned up on time and were nothing but polite and respectful throughout the whole day. Dean kept me informed with the photos of the problem and the work that needed doing. They were very tidy and cleared up even washing down areas they have been working. The work is to a very high standard. Thank you."

Before you hire an architect
Only someone on the Architects Registration Board (ARB) register may legally call themselves an 'architect' in the UK — ask for their ARB number and check it free at arb.org.uk. An 'architectural designer' or 'technologist' is a different, unregistered role (often capable, but not the same protection).
Agree how they charge before any work starts — a percentage of the build cost, a fixed fee, or an hourly rate — and exactly which stages it covers (concept design, planning application, building-regulations drawings, work on site), so there are no surprises later.
Confirm what they will actually handle versus what is excluded — the planning application, the building-control drawings, and whether they will administer the builder's contract on site — and get it, and a portfolio of similar projects, in writing.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
