Highlights

"I had a problem with my sockets and gave Darren a call and he came round promptly and fixed the issue very happy with the service and cost. Will definitely recommend. Debbie"

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"Darren sorted out a connection problem with the AC connector on my Solis inverter in no time when the previous electrician who inspected the inverter had said it needed to be replaced at a total cost of £1,375 !! A very pleasant, helpful and competent young man who I will have no hesitation in trusting with any of my electrical requirements in the future. For me he was a great find."

AnonymousCheckatrade5.0 rating

"Darren very efficiently and neatly installed a new consumer unit in our under the stairs cupboard. The whole area was left extremely tidy and the cupboard was vacuumed spotless! All electric sockets in our house were checked thoroughly before a certificate of warranty was issued by him. He also fitted a new switch for our downstairs toilet and shower to enable the fan and lights to be used more easily, an outside grill for the fan and the finished job was far more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Pricing for the jobs completed seemed very fair."

Before you hire an electrician

In England and Wales, notifiable electrical work (new circuits, a consumer unit, anything in a bathroom or kitchen) must by law be signed off under Part P of the Building Regulations — confirm they will handle that.
Prefer an electrician registered with a government-approved competent-person scheme (NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA) so they can self-certify the work meets the wiring regulations.
Insist on the Electrical Installation Certificate (or Minor Works Certificate) when the job is done — it is your proof the work is safe and compliant, and you will need it if you ever sell.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
Read recent reviews for reliability and turning up on time — not only the quality of the work.
