I have used Metgas Ltd for the last 3 years for servicing my boiler. The boiler is now 11 years old and when it developed a fault it was not economical to repair. Metgas provided an estimate to replace boiler and after a site inspection the new boiler was fitted on 15/6/2023. The work was completed within the day as per the estimate and I was impressed with quality of the workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending Metgas to other people because I have found the to be reliable, punctual and very helpful.

Have used MetGas for some years now. On Saturday, 15th JUly our boiler failed. Rang Met on Monday morning to arrange a call expecting for them to be able to make Tuesday or Wednesday. Plumber here within 2 hours of my call. Diagnosis was the boiler needed to be replaced. Quoted that evening. Installation agreed for Thursday morning. Plumber, Ash, here first thing with boiler in and working by mid afternoon. Ash left the workspace in immaculate condition, all necessary piping tidy and lagged. Explained controls clearly Also because we had only recently had new room thermostat installed, did not need new one so once bill arrived that had been removed from the quote costs (some firms would not have bothered). As in all my dealings, they are responsive and reasonably priced.

I've used Met Gas for over 10 years now, and wouldn't use anyone else as their service is second to none. I've had them install a gas cooker and replace radiators throughout the house as well as regular boiler servicing. With my boiler starting to develop faults, rather than spend money fixing it, only for it to need replacement anyway, I was quoted for a replacement (with a 10 year guarantee). As I'd not long had the controller replaced, Mike was happy to remove that from the quote as this was close to brand new. Booking was made and the fitter Allan arrived to fit. This was done by the afternoon, and everything was left tidy. A scrapman had been booked to take away the old boiler, so I didn't have to worry about that. New boiler is so much smaller than the previous one, which, as it is above a kitchen work top, gives more space in a small kitchen. The boiler is so much quieter in it's operation, and as an A rated boiler, more energy efficient. All in all, I couldn't be happier with the service - but that is why they are my go to company!

Excellent service, courteous, turned up on time, performed the maintenance on the boiler that they fitted 2 years ago. No issues, the engineer also did a visual inspection of the underfloor heating that they extensively repaired at the same time as the boiler. It’s good to know that one thing I can depend on is a Met Gas to maintain and also deal with the underfloor heating in a very professional manner and at a fair price.

As usual, I received efficient and polite service. I appreciate the call to remind me he was on his way. Ash worked quietly and tidily.

We have used Met Gas for quite a few years now, boiler servicing, radiator replacement, new thermostat, and they have just replaced the boiler the service they provide is always first rate and professional, they respond quickly and always arrive when they say they will, and never postpone all the engineers' are very respectful, pleasant and courteous, and always leave the house clean and tidy, they even took away the old boiler without me even asking. i would never dream of using any other company

We can't praise this company enough. The job involved replacing an old non combi boiler for a combi boiler, changing the site of the boiler, removing the immersion heater tank and 2 other water tanks (one in the loft). The quote was fair, reasonable and very competitive, and the company did exactly what it said it would. It was clear that, with Mike, you were dealing with a knowledgeable man, and man of his word. Alan, the engineer who attended to carry out the job, worked non stop for 3 days and had the knowledge and expertise to overcome any logistical issue which arose along the way. The work was to the highest standard, tidy, and was carried out with care for our home - the company even went to the trouble of sourcing bricks to match our old ones where the old flue had to be bricked up. Couldn't be more impressed.

Failed to keep TWO consecutive appointments to quote for new boiler. 1st appointment Thurs 4 April 8:30am. Waited in. No phone call to say they weren't attending. Called them - they said they had to attend urgent business elsewhere (why not call to reschedule instead of keeping customer waiting?). Rearranged appointment: 2nd appointment Mon 8 April 8:30am. Again failed to show up. Again no phone call to say they weren't attending. Awful customer service. Won't be giving them a third appointment not to show up

I had a new boiler installed by MetGas, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the Hservice. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, on time, courteous, and very approachable. They took the time to explain every step of the installation process, ensuring I was comfortable with what was happening. What really stood out was their knowledge and expertise with the new technology. They didn’t just install the boiler and leave – they patiently walked me through how it works, explaining its advanced features and energy efficiency benefits in simple, easy-to-understand terms. Throughout the installation, they worked efficiently while being respectful of my home, keeping everything clean and tidy. Most importantly, they were incredibly kind and patient, answering all of my questions without any rush.

We had a mixer bathroom tap replaced today by Ash. We can not fault his service. He is thorough, polite and even takes our rubbish away with him. We have used Ash before for a new boiler and fixing an old one and we will continue to use him. Brilliant service!

My wife and I are very pleased with the service that Mike and his team have provided in sorting out our ageing boiler which needed to be replaced (including the 30-year-old wiring!). They were very prompt in providing a (very reasonable) quote, carrying out the work over a 2-day period and very accommodating in keeping with our requested timeframes. Good communication throughout. Turned up exactly on time. Andy was very knowledgeable, friendly and kept us informed throughout. A rare blend of professionalism and honesty. Highly recommended.

I initially had a great experience with this company when they serviced my boiler last year—the engineer was professional, efficient, and friendly. Based on that, I reached out again about a month ago to have our radiator system cleaned, suspecting a sludge buildup. A response was prompt from whom we assume was the prior Director of the company, looking at the name. He requesting images to assess the work needed. However, after sending them, communication deteriorated. I had to chase for an update, which eventually came with a reasonable estimate. I replied to book the job, but after that, my emails went unanswered. A week later, I followed up via email and called their office—no response. Further calls over multiple days also went ignored. It’s disappointing to see such poor communication from what seemed like a reliable company.

Mike, Andrew and Ashley from MetGas in Sheffield have just installed a new high quality system central heating boiler, hive and other works at our home. We found the company on the Which Trusted Traders website and they responded personally within 24 hours to an initial enquiry. Our old boiler had failed, it had been disconnected and it was cold. The new boiler had been installed and ancillary work completed within days. We found MetGas to be very competent and professional providing good advice, they were timely, clean and tidy and invoiced us after the work had been completed to our satisfaction. Also they were somewhat more reasonable than an alternative Gas Board quotation for the same work. We would not hesitate to recommend MetGas.

We have used MET GAS for a number of years. They installed boilers at both of our properties which they service yearly and they also complete a gas safety certificate for one of our properties which is rented out. It is always a pleasure to speak with admin who recognise us as soon as we speak. All of the gas technicians are also fantastic people who are always friendly and relaxed. It’s a pleasure having them in our homes and they do a thorough, professional job.

We had, for various reasons, a list of plumbing and heating jobs to do. I Googled 'best plumbers in Sheffield' and found MET GAS PLUMBERS. Mike came and inspected the existing system and we discussed the changes needed. He produced a quotation, which I accepted. After the first day, Andy, Alan or Ashley often came alone to do specific and responsible jobs. They were experienced and skilful and I found it interesting talking to them. Eveything is finished now, but MET GAS will be back annually to service the CH boiler and gas fire. And I have another project for 2026.........
