Highlights

"Jose and his colleague arrived on time as agreed or would notify me in good time if the weather was going to create delays. His work is very neat and tidy and he is always open to suggestions to alter things at the last minute. I had an old roof removed and new roof fitted to my old sauna and conduit laid for new cabling. Very happy with the work and would highly recommend to others."

"Jose arrived promptly for our first meeting and for each day he was booked with us. Our garden had been destroyed following building work, and he has absolutely transformed it for us for a very fair price too. Jose was lovely to deal with and it looks wonderful - we are delighted!"

Before you hire a builder

Never pay a large deposit up front — agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
Get it in writing: an itemised quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow — both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
Ask to see a portfolio of completed work like yours, plus recent references you can contact.
Check the credentials and registrations that matter for this work — and that they are current.
