Mark at Fixlink is friendly and provides an efficient service, I no hesitation in recommending him. He has replaced a gas boiler, installed radiators, cloakroom plumbing and tiling. Removed and refitted a bathroom. Also fitted a new consumer unit, upgraded our wiring, lights and sockets.
Mark popped in at very short notice as our kitchen tap was leaking uncontrollably. He advised us to get a new tap and lent us a catalogue. We purchased and collected one and Mark returned later that day to fit it.
Fixlink have looked after our gas, electrical and plumbing needs since we moved to our village. They are reliable, punctual and exceptionally willing to provide help wherever and whenever necessary. I have recommended them to several people, all of whom have had a good experience.
I was very impressed by Mark. He managed to see me very quickly and sorted out the problem with my combi boiler, meaning I could once again use my bath! He gave me full details of the cost before carrying out the work, and he did the work for a very fair price. He is very polite, friendly and generally a joy to have around. He gave me some good advice regarding the upkeep of my boiler and I would be very happy to recommend him and to use him again.
Wanted a vertical radiator to replace very heavy horizontal one. Mark gave me a quote within hours and fixed the new one within 2 days. A friendly, rapid, clean and efficient service.
Mark replaced a bathroom extractor fan and ceiling light, and installed a new plug socket. He was highly professional, communicative and friendly throughout, and gave lots of information before and during the job, adjusting the work and explaining things to me when needed, regarding the unexpected wiring/accessibility situation he found in my attic (which had been an unknown to me beforehand, too). Mark initially asked the right questions to give a decent quote before visiting (this remained the same figure for the invoice), and gave me good advice and information, as well as a fair price for excellent-quality work. I appreciated the fact that he masked-up during this coronavirus pandemic, too. I would recommend him without hesitation.
I contacted Mark on the Sunday before the last full week before Christmas with an issue with a leaking toilet cistern. We were expecting a family member to stay (pre-tier 4 lockdown) and urgently needed this issue resolved. Following my Sunday call, Mark came on the Monday morning and quickly identified the problem which required new parts. These were arranged and Mark then came back on the Wednesday and completed the repair to our complete satisfaction. He was consistently polite and helpful in all our dealings with him and worked in accordance with the Covid-19 requirements. Considering this was an emergency callout, the service was excellent – can ask for no more!
We contacted FixLink earlier this week about getting our boiler serviced. Mark was able to come out quickly, communicated well in advance and he ensured the log was signed for our warranty, which we hadn't considered. We asked him about a few other things and he was incredibly helpful. He did extra work while he was here, clearly explained things and went above and beyond to provide additional info afterwards. We'd happily use him again.

Mark managed to fit in an emergency call out and then managed to re-arrange a new cylinder install in two days to give us back hot water and heating. Excellent and friendly and professional. Would totally recommend Mark.
Our boiler stopped working, so we called FixLink at ten am to see if he could come round and fix it. He agreed to come round in about one hour when he had finished his current job. They arrived in a hour’s time, was friendly and helpful, and diagnosed the problem very quickly. A new part was required. They checked with a supplier and confirmed with us that the part was in stock. I explained that we had to go out so he said he would pick the part up, and then come round at five thirty when we had got back home to fix the boiler. He arrived on time, fitted the new part, and our boiler was working again before six. He was friendly, professional and enormously knowledgeable. I will be recommending FixLink highly to any neighbours and/or friends who need an excellent gas engineer to fix their boilers.
Mark called me to discuss the problem and then me updated as to when he would arrive. He very quickly identified the problem and was able to change the broken part quickly and with no fuss. He was very professional and friendly and I will definitely use him again and recommend him to friends.
Mark was very responsive from my first email contact with him. He came around within 24 hours to look at the job, and provided a quote the following day. A couple of days later I agreed to go ahead, and he fitted the tank today just 5 working days later. He turned up on time and got on with the job without any fuss. A very professional and tidy job has been done, and we have hot water again! Would definitely use Mark again without hesitation.
Mark came round to see us the day after we contacted him to say our boiler has packed up. We agreed with him that we needed a new boiler and he had sourced one and given us a price within 2 hours of leaving us and then came round the next day to fit it. His work was excellent and very thorough, checking every single radiator to ensure everything was working properly. He fully explained everything about the new boiler and left us all the documents we needed and even did all the registration for us. He left our garage in a tidy state and disposed of all the parts of the old boiler. As well as being competent and professional, he was friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. We would certainly use him again and highly recommend him.
After our central heating stopped working, I looked up Which? recommended traders in my area, and reached out to Mark/FixLink in the evening, with the details of the problem. He got back to me almost immediately that evening, and was able to arrange a visit the next morning. He showed up in the time window specified, identified the problem, went away to get the part needed (and to fulfil his other appointments) and returned later in the day with the part and completed the repair. Mark is efficient, tidy, pleasant and reasonable - I have no hesitation in recommending.
The slider on the unit that controlled our central heating broke off. It was very old and not replaced when we replaced the heater unit. We decided that we wanted a smart system and looked for someone to fit it. I looked at the list of Which Trusted Traders and found that the guy who fitted the water heater had disappeared. Fixlink was local and had excellent reviews so I contacted Mark and he agreed to have a look at it for me. We were about to go away for 3 weeks so did not expect the work to be done straight away, long story short, Mark fitted a nest system for us the same day. It took longer than he expected because of the strange way the old system was wired but he was very patient and sorted it out. We looked at our smart phones at Gatwick and saw that the system was off because we were not at home, just set to prevent frost damage if it got really cold. Thank you Mark.
Mark at FixLink installed a Aqualisa digital shower and Worcester Bosch boiler system. Both jobs were carried out with the utmost professionalism and we are extremely pleased with the results. Mark is very reliable and hardworking. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
