I recently used Gearing Locksmiths and was extremely impressed with the service provided. Matt was punctual, professional, and delivered work of a very high standard. Both Matt and Emma were friendly, approachable, and took the time to offer clear, helpful advice throughout. It’s rare to find such a reliable and customer-focused service — I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Matt was recommended to us by the previous installers of our composite front door as our front door lock was broken . Emma dealt with the call and was extremely helpful and arranged for Matt to come out within 3 hours . Matt quickly diagnosed the problem ,and replaced the cylinder of the lock quickly and efficiently . Value for money and excellent service. We would not hesitate to recommend Gearing Locksmiths

Would 100% recommend! I messaged Matt having previously been quoted £660 by another locksmith for new lock and mechanism for my door that seemed to be sticking. Matt immediately said that was too much to be quoted and we arranged for him to come and look at it. He was punctual and polite and had it fixed within 20mins and we didn’t need to change the lock or mechanism. I am so glad I trusted my gut instinct. I will be using GL Gearing from now on for anything to do with our doors.

Matt responded to my request through Trust A Trader within 10 mins of sending the email - his work is exemplary. He was very professional and explained what the problem was with the front door lock and was upfront with the cost. He also explained the aftercare thoroughly and what I needed to do after hours. We were concern re the lock on our front door. Matt and Emma responded straight away and booked us in as soon as possible. Emma ask for confirmation of the make of lock, to see that, if needed, they had parts in stock. Matt turned up when he said he would, we also received a message from Emma, that he was on his way. The work was completed quickly, at a reasonable price, and only that which needed doing was done. Matt was friendly and I will have no hesitation in using them again. I would highly recommend the company.

We had to have our garage door lock replaced at short notice as I'd lost the key. Called matt - he came out to us within 15minutes, and did the work straight away. Very professional from start to finish. Sent a message via website link. Called back quickly to discuss what I needed. Appointment arranged. All then confirmed by email and WhatsApp. Got a call on the day to ask if Matt could come early. No problem with that at all. Arrived as arranged. Got to work straight away. Advised what he was doing. Job actioned exactly as described and importantly exactly how I wanted. Fee was again as described originally. Was so impressed past details on to family so they could use service if and when needed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Matt was absolutely fantastic! I’ve just moved to the area and after getting locked out of my house yesterday- I didn’t know of anyone who could help. I saw Matts details had been recommended and gave him a message. Within minutes I was booked in for the following day and now both my front and back door locks are all fixed/ changed. Matt was super efficient, polite and helpful and I will definitely be getting in touch again for any future lock issues- highly recommend!

Matt has helped me a few times, from changing door locks after house purchase to rescuing me after a broken key in a garage door. This time it was the garden gate lock that my 4yr old destroyed. I spoke to Emma after reading recommendations on Facebook & TrustATrader feedback. Emma right from the start was instantly friendly and immediately put me at ease talking me through the service they provide. I booked an appointment which was confirmed via text. On the day I received another text confirming Matt was on his way confirming the time he would be with me. The job in hand was looking at a couple of pretty old doors at my elderly mums house, who unfortunately ‘makes do’ when something starts getting difficult, so until you find it yourself or she admits it’s broken, will just struggle on with it (I’m sure many of us have similar older relatives)! Matt was an absolute star, he was instantly likeable and patient with my mum. He went through what he would do, and explained what he found with each door as he worked. Very happy with the work & would happily recommend them. A big thank you to both Emma & Matt for not just doing a great job but for also being good people. Thank you!
