"On boxing day we had noticed our heating was playing up, not an ideal time of the year for this to happen, particuarly when I have my 1 year old at home. So the following day i requested a service for it, then half an hour later it went completely. We contacted 12 people, british gas said over £200 and can arrive on the Tuesday, another company said over £300 for Tuesday, another said £120 callout fee that day. The others didnt even respond or they declined. Stuart from Heatwave called me after 30 minutes, he was more than fair and came out to us an hour later and fixed/serviced our boiler."

By law, anyone working on your gas appliances must be on the Gas Safe Register — ask to see their Gas Safe ID card and check the licence number at gassaferegister.co.uk before they start.
Never let an unregistered person touch your gas: unsafe gas work risks carbon monoxide poisoning, fire and explosion, and is a criminal offence.
